From September 2018, UBW will be able to accept wedding, bridesmaid and flower girl dresses to turn into burial clothing.
For the past couple of months, one of our regular volunteers and Grandma to baby Arlo, Chris Allum offered to road test a dress which was kindly donated to her (photos to be shared soon) and as this has gone better than we expected, we have decided to go ahead and add this service to our group.
Today I received a beautiful dress (pictured) from Anna Cownley and we look forward to seeing the beautiful outfits which are made from it and sharing them with you.
We are now looking for volunteer seamstresses who would like to offer their services of transforming donated dresses into burial clothing.
Patterns will be provided and there will be official paperwork to read through and sign.
We want to do this so that every party involved knows from the start what is expected and how the process will work.
If you would like to volunteer your services, please first of all click and have a read HERE.
If you still wish to proceed, you can either contact us using the form on this website or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
For those who are interested in donating their dress, please also click HERE for further details.
Thank you. Lucy
